In toddlers growth, newborn has to pass through several stages. One of the stages is try to walk by himself. Parent is so happy to see that and want to help baby by giving baby walkers. But parent didn’t realize about any hazard which is caused by using baby walkers.

Among this day, a few countries prohibit the sale, advertisement and importation of baby walkers, it’s not recommended in order to keep away baby from accident. Many babies under 12 months have injury, it is able to be serious if wound on head as consequence of baby walkers falls down. By baby walkers baby can reach dangerous things such as heater, electric things, fire or poisoned by the things that he pull down or touched.

But if you think baby walkers useful for helping your baby to walk, there are many things to pay attention before you buy baby walkers such as stability, prevention of fall down stairs, and product warning. Baby walkers need some tests in order to reduce the risk of injury that caused it falls down. To avoid it you have to check according to types of baby walkers as what is the baby walkers strong enough consistent with your baby weight? What is your baby’s feet able to touch the floor finely?

Don’t forget look to the wheels of baby walkers, at least it has 50mm in diameter and look for the wide base for stability. Be careful if you buy second-hand baby walkers, maybe it has weakness caused fall down and it’s invisible, this is not safe enough and dangerous for your baby.

Safely baby walkers also depends on parent, how parent make it to be safe such as put baby walkers on flat surface and don’t place it in areas which are not safe as kitchen, bathroom or any place that full of hazard. Keep away baby walkers from electricity, heater or fire place. And don’t ever lift baby walkers with baby in it. Now you can think about it, what is your baby need baby walkers or not.
